Mandatory cleantech for Bangalore?

Karnataka is now considering requiring households to install at least four solar lamps, said its Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar. Solar industry players at the inauguration of the Deepa Solar Lighting Systems facility in Bangalore also proposed that the government look into requiring dairy farmers to install biogas plants, as well as putting up LED lamps as streetlights in villages. Energy Minister Shobha Karandlaje said India has produced 2,200 MW of solar power out of the targeted 12,000 MW. It is preparing to add 8,000 MW more to the grid soon.
