After more than eight years working for Microsoft, the computing firm’s Asia Pacific head of diversity and inclusion, Shoon Yin Lim, has joined flavours and fragrances firm Givaudan in an equivalent role.

She joins the Swiss multinational as global diversity and inclusion manager, based in Singapore, one of the company’s key regional markets. She started her new role on Monday (1 February).
Givaudan’s diversity and inclusion agenda, known as Better Balance, aims for the company to be an industry leader in inclusion by 2025, and for half of its senior leaders to be women, and half of its senior management team to come from emerging markets, by 2030.
Lim’s role involves defining and executing the diversity and inclusion strategy, and designing and using tools to measure progress.
She brings to an end a long tenure with Microsoft, where latterly she was senior manager, global diversity and inclusion, Asia practice leader.
Prior to Microsoft, she spent almost 15 years with Shell, initially in retail and marketing, then in diversity and inclusion, working as a senior consultant for the global D&I practice for five years before moving to Microsoft in 2013.
