Sluggish climate negotiations hit second week

One week has passed and the climate negotiators currently at Doha, Qatar still have not gained any headway in the UN conference. Lead Chinese climate negotiator Su Wei said no clear solutions were thrashed out and the difficult issues were left for the second week when the ministers arrive for the climate talks. Among the standing issues are the length of the second commitment period and how to avoid a gap between the two commitment periods of the Kyoto Protocol.
