SGS to speak on food safety at the MIFB Conference 2014

SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company will speak at the MIFB Conference 2014 on Food Security and Innovation, held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 19 June 2014 from 11:45 to 12:30.

The diversity of the modern food supply chain and its ever-changing dynamics creates many challenges for the food industry. Quality, safety and efficiency form key drivers in the food value chain and impact on not just the sustainability of the business but also the desirability of the product and the marketability of the business as a whole.

In this event, SGS aims to help organisations continuously improve the quality, safety, performance and integrity of the food supply chain, manage sustainability and social responsibility, and develop talent that empowers organisations to build value and make the most of every opportunity to further excellence.

The MIFB conference will be hosted at the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, on June 19, 2014. The theme of the conference is “Food Security and Innovation”, and it will showcase insights into the development of food innovation and food safety systems for long-term sustainable growth.

The conference will provide an interactive platform for industry players and related organisations to network, exchange ideas, strengthen existing and create new academic links as well as promote new ideas and business trends that impact productivity. Presentations by regional experts will cover a variety of topics from food security and food sustainability to food regulations and the current trends in the food industry.
