The 4th China Solid Waste Summit 2013

China’s largest international solid waste conference for networking and knowledge-sharing, the 4th China Solid Waste Summit 2013 will be held on 30-31 May 2013 in Shanghai, China, which will continue to focus on the policies, market, strategies, financing, technologies and business models of solid waste industry from China to the rest of the world.

As seen by the rapid growth of the Waste-to-Energy (WtE) sector in China, many favorable policies and stronger regulations are being passed this year and the industry is showing good signs and prospects of revamping the existing waste management system.

In 2011, the summit attracted more than 200 decision makers from the solid waste management industry and market players including Government Policy Makers, Waste Management Operators, Technology & Solution Providers, System Integrators, Investors, Equipment Providers, Engineering Consulting Companies, Service Providers, Consulting/ Legal/ Accounting Firms, Associations and Research Institutes, etc.

This year, the 4th China Solid Waste Summit 2013 is a timely event to address ongoing issues. With the “National Municipal Solid Waste Harmless Treatment Infrastructure Development Plan 2011-2015’’ coming out, it will reshape the market and trigger the fast growth of the industry. Meanwhile, the industry is also facing potential risks & challenges which will be discussed:

Finding out where waste-to-energy, anaerobic digestion, landfilling, composting etc are heading on the basis of municipal solid waste reduction, recycling and harmless treatment

◇ Investigating the potential risks and pitfalls in tapping into household waste management projects in China’s 2nd and 3rd tier cities in spite of substantial market potential

◇ Scrutinizing the challenge as a combination of policy-dependent business model, poor implementation of policy incentives, unsorted and low-calorific wastes, stringent emission requirement and public boycott faced by waste treatment operators

◇ Identifying China’s call for a considerable increase in household waste incineration capacity in following years and the implications for incineration infrastructure development and expansion

◇ Assessing the development and improvement of waste incineration supervision system for harmless treatment and its influence on environmental monitoring sector

◇ Discerning the supportive policies, business model and pretreatment processes needed in accelerating China’s kitchen waste recycling

◇ Seeking alternative financing channels for local waste-to-energy enterprises and projects except government investment

Join the conference now and gain access to a target audience of project owners & developers, plant managers, finance controllers, engineers, technicians, investors, consultants, lawyers, bankers, analysts and policymakers, etc. It is a perfect stage to showcase your ideas to your target group.
