Trane hosts seminar to share practical solutions beneficial to business and environment with building owners, operators and engineers

Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort systems and solutions and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, recently hosted an industry seminar in Singapore entitled “High Performance Buildings – Act Now for The Future” to promote energy efficiency and green building approaches.

The seminar that took place on June 23, was geared toward building owners, developers and industry leaders from the public and private sectors who are interested in maximizing their building energy and operating efficiencies.

Speakers for the event included Yow Kuan Yee, integrated systems leader for Ingersoll Rand Climate Solutions Asia Pacific (AP); Lee Eng Lock, director for building energy efficiency at Ingersoll Rand Climate Solutions AP; and Mike Thompson, global director of environmental affairs for Trane.

The event also included a line-up of external speakers, from both the public and private sectors including Lim Chan Boon, senior development officer, Green Mark Development (New Development) at Building and Construction Authority (BCA); Ang Peng Chye, executive engineer at the National Environment Agency (NEA); and Ng Eng Kiong, vice president of the Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC).

Seminars also included case study presentations about Mapletree Business City (MBC) and United World College (UWC), both recipients of the Singapore Green Mark Platinum award.
