I lead Forum’s work on the best ways to create big change. I focus on system wide change projects that bring together diverse groups of people to find creative solutions to difficult challenges (which is what system innovation is all about). I am an expert in collaborative processes, change and sustainable development. I also oversee our work in India and Asia Pacific. I have worked with companies and industry sectors on making sustainable business happen for the last 18 years.
My background combines science and change management. Following my Masters in Environment and Conservation, I worked at the Industrial Society where I specialized in strategy and change consultancy. I went on to set up one of the first CSR practices at the Work Foundation and joined Forum in 2002. It was the ideal place to combine my strong science base with my expertise in change and stakeholder process, and importantly, have a real impact.
I am co-founder and Chair of the Sustainable Shipping Initiative, a trustee of the Travel Foundation and a member of the Firmenich Sustainability Board. I write and speak extensively on how to create big change including ‘The Big Shift – how to create system innovation’.
