Delegates are to prepare an action plan to create innovative solutions to waste minimisation that they may execute within their respective home countries, all of which will work to a common goal – to take Actions For Earth to reduce waste!
Delegates, aged 12 to 21 years old will construct the details of these projects over the several days of the conference and to be inspired by speakers and successful innovative projects in the host country. Students aged above 21 are also welcome to participate as long as they are studying full time.
In addition to discussing global environmental concerns, delegates will also be engaged in community outreach and visit Singapore’s successful and sustaining environmental projects such as the Marina Barrage, NEWater Plant and Semakau Landfill to learn how Singapore has made progress in coping with its environmental challenges.
Till date, this inaugural summit has attracted more than 400 youths participating from 13 Asia Pacific countries.
