  • Define the purpose and importance of carbon credits in the Singapore sustainability landscape: Understand how carbon credits contribute to mitigating climate change, reducing carbon emissions, and supporting Singapore’s sustainability goals.
  • Differentiate the types of carbon credits available to Singapore companies and describe their generation, trading, and verification processes: Gain an in-depth understanding of various carbon credit types, such as Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) and Verified Carbon Units (VCUs), and explore how they are generated, traded, and verified in Singapore’s carbon market.
  • Explain the legal and regulatory framework governing the issuance and trading of carbon credits in Singapore: Navigate the complex web of laws and regulations that govern carbon credits in Singapore, including compliance requirements, reporting frameworks, and government initiatives aimed at promoting carbon neutrality.

All participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance from SEAS upon completion.

Senthil Karuppiah, with over 25 years of hands-on experience in the Power and Energy sector in Singapore, is dedicated to guiding corporations through their energy evolution journey. As the Founder and CEO of Energi Tranz Pte Ltd, Senthil offers bespoke advisory services aimed at facilitating sustainable energy transitions for businesses.

His expertise spans a range of crucial areas, including Sustainability (ESG) reporting and advisory, Electricity Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), Energy Efficiency projects, Solar PPA initiatives, Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), and Carbon Credits procurement. Senthil provides tailored guidance to large corporations, assisting them in ESG reporting and implementing strategies to achieve their decarbonization goals.
