The GPT Group launched its six star Green Star $700 million Brisbane office tower, ONE ONE ONE Eagle Street on Wednesday night before about 350 guests.
The 64,000sqm, the 54-level tower is Brisbane’s biggest office building and comes with a unique façade that incorporates 52,000 LED lights designed by artist Alexander Lotersztain and is “inspired by the way plants grow upwards, towards the light”, in “branch-like columns that taper as they wind higher, mimicking the way the local fig tree spreads its vines.”
GPT CEO and Managing Director, Michael Cameron said,“ONE ONE ONE Eagle Street is a building that I am very proud to be associated with. Its world-leading design has set a new benchmark in innovative office architecture.”
Designed by architects Cox Rayner, the building also offers a Philip Johnson bistro, One Eleven, concierge staff that can book a “trip to New York, theatre tickets in London” or call in a manicure.
GPT said: “The vine-like design allows for more natural light, which means less artificial lighting is required and generating power on-site are two key elements sustainability elements of the building.
“The building houses some of Australia’s premier, blue-chip tenants, such as ANZ Banking, Ernst & Young and Norton Rose Australia.”
