Ban called on world leaders to show political will for climate goals

UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon has asked world leaders attending the global climate talks in Doha, Qatar to show a strong political commitment and to work with a spirit of compromise to fight climate change. Ban stressed the urgent need to act on the crisis as recent scientific findings warned  that the world is warming above the limit of 2 degrees Celsius set by the UN.  The UN secretary-general stressed that the technology exists now to achieve the emissions reduction goal but that the only thing lacking is the political will to act on them.
