Fuel cell buses double as power generators

Cities may soon be turning to their public buses for power in emergencies. Toyota Motor Corporation has developed fuel cell powered buses designed to provide electricity to plug-in appliances for over 100 hours. Another Toyota system under development will attach directly to home electrical systems. The automaker unveiled the new system, which stores significantly more power than electric vehicles, at a recent disaster preparation event in Japan.
