New Zealand can benefit from a wide array of green business opportunities, according to a new report. The study, which was done by Vivid Economics in London and the University of Auckland Business School, said that NZ can get ahead in the “green race” mainly by tapping the export market on sustainable agricultural products and services, geothermal energy, biotechnology, and biofuels. The business opportunities are substantial as the International Energy Agency estimates that global investments in low-carbon energy could reach US$3 trillion per year by 2050.
