Gujarat Solar Park shines in India’s energy sector

The Gujarat Solar Park has bagged the 10th Wartsila-Mantosh Sondhi Award for its significant contribution to the energy sector in India. The solar park, which is owned by the Gujarat Power Corporation, supplies 66 per cent of India’s total solar power and has a capacity of 600-MW. It was launched at Charanka village in the Patan district covering some 3,000 acres of wasteland.
