India’s first solar-powered hydrogen fueling station due in 2013

New York-listed firm Air Products will be building India’s first solar powered renewable hydrogen fueling station. The company has announced that it was awarded the contract with India’s University of Petroleum and Energy Studies to build the hydrogen fueling technology which will be part of India’s mass public transit bus fueling demonstration program. The fueling station will be located near Delhi, and according to Air Products, will be 100 per cent powered by solar energy using an electrolyser.
