Morgan Stanley in record-breaking Chinese hydropower deal

Unlisted Chinese firm Zhaoheng Hydropower Holdings announced US$150 million in new funding from an investor group led by a Morgan Stanley infrastructure fund. Zhaoheng said the funding, which will be used to purchase hydropower plants, is the Chinese renewable energy sector’s largest private investment to date when combined with an earlier deal with the group for the same amount.
