New water de-salinisation project underway in Sarawak

Water woes in the coastal areas of Sarawak will soon be a thing of the past with the new water de-salinisation project underway.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said today that the government has allocated RM60 million for the project which will benefit more than 25,000 people living in the coastal areas.

“We cannot utilise conventional methods of bringing water supply to the coastal areas. It will be costly and take more time to implement.
