P3-billion wind project in Mindoro get incentives from Philippine government

The planned P3.425 billion wind project in Oriental Mindoro in the Philippines has qualified to receive incentives from the government. PhilCarbon Inc, the project developer, said the Board of Investments has registered the wind energy project to qualify under the fiscal incentives granted by the Renewable Energy Act of 2008. The incentives will include duty-free importation of capital equipment that will be used for the project. PhilCarbon is currently at the pre-development stage of the 33.4-megawatt wind project.
