SK plans massive investment to cut greenhouse gas emissions

SK Group announced on Tuesday a plan to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 15 percent per employee by 2015, and the emissions-to-sales ratio at its plants by 30 percent by 2020.

It will also invest W700 billion over the next five years in setting up eco-friendly facilities (US$1=W1,114).

The company expects to create 20,000 new jobs over the coming decade by investing W8.7 trillion in the renewable energy sector and research and development of green technologies.
