Solar energy scheme in Australia questioned

Australia’s solar renewable energy scheme has cost households $3.2 billion in the past two years, said Sydney-based Origin Energy. The amount, said Origin managing director Grant King, could have easily funded the installation of smart meters to Australian households which would reduce electricity use. He said, the federal government’s small scale solar renewable scheme was a considerable cost to Australian households at $3.2 billion.
