Solar hot water systems for flood victims

An Australian solar hot water company says it is donating $15 million worth of its systems to flood affected Queensland householders.

Apricus Australia will make 3500 solar hot water systems available to flood victims rebuilding their homes.

The offer excludes installation, however the company has teamed up with the Queensland Master Plumbers Association to put flood victims in touch with tradesmen offering competitive prices.

Apricus said state and federal government rebates for the systems would be channelled back to the company to help defray expenses.

Flood victims can register for the offer at www.dip.qld.gov.au/plumbing
