Collings moves into the role after almost two years as head of sustainability risk at Credit Suisse, which UBS acquired a year ago. He will be based in Singapore.
He replaces Julie Suh, the former APAC head of sustainability and climate risk, who has moved into a new role in UBS’ global wealth management team in APAC. Collings will report to UBS’ global sustainability and climate risk head Liselotte Arni, who is based at the company’s headquarters in Zurich.

News of job cuts from UBS’ private banking division emerged this week following a drop in profits.
Collings brings to the role experience with Singapore’s finance regulator Monetary Authority of Singapore, where he was assistant director of environmental risk management, and HSBC, where he worked for nine years, latterly as senior sustainability risk manager, based in London.
