UN chief demands climate fund details

UN secretary-general  Ban Ki-moon has asked industrialised nations to provide more detail on how they plan to deliver the $100 billion-a-year climate aid pledged since the Copenhagen climate talks in 2009. In a briefing at the Doha climate talks, the UN chief said climate financing is a matter of credibility for developed nations and will be a critical factor in the drafting of a legally binding agreement by 2015. Developed countries have delivered the bulk of the $30 billion pledged until 2012 but there are no clear plans yet on how to finance the end-of-decade target.
