Celestial Green Ventures welcomes Victor Reina to their team

Celestial Green Ventures (CGV), a forest conservation company based in Dublin, is pleased to welcome to their growing family Victor Pavia Reina as the new Environmental Engineer. Victor has joined CGV at an exciting moment, as they move forward in the implementation of the Trocano Araretama Conservation Project, in the Amazon region of Brazil.

Victor’s background should prove to be a valuable asset to the development of their REDD+ projects activities and programs. He brings energy, enthusiasm and extensive knowledge in environmental services, with a particular emphasis on the management of natural tropical resources and the development of renewable energy projects.

During his first year with Celestial Green Ventures, Victor will be working closely with Monica Gallego, REDD+ Projects Coordinator and Environmental Analyst, in the development of a pilot-project to supply solar power to remote communities within the Trocano Project area. This program will bring electricity for these people, mainly for light, and water extraction.

“I have great expectations for my current position with Celestial Green Ventures, and I look forward to applying my knowledge. As an Environmental Engineer, I will be able to help the inhabitants in the project area to improve their life conditions and develop a sustainable lifestyle through the use of clean and renewable energy”, stated Victor.

Before joining CGV, Victor completed a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain), followed by a degree in Environmental Sciences at the University of Granada (Spain). He also completed several modules during one full-academic year at the University of Leuven (Belgium), within the Master’s programme in Natural Tropical Resources Management.

The project aims to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases through avoided deforestation, in addition to protecting the local biodiversity and enhancing the living conditions of the communities in and around the project area.
