Sustainable Shipping Event

Wednesday, 23 November, 2011 - 16:00 - 18:00
Room 903, Level 9, NTUC Centre, 1 Marina Boulevard, Singapore

Join us to find out why sustainability is an imperative for the shipping industry and how you can get involved in making it a reality. You’ll also have a unique opportunity to meet the Sustainable Shipping Initiative (SSI) members and other industry leaders, and find out about our Vision for a Sustainable Shipping Industry in 2040.

This event will help you understand our ambitions for the future of shipping, and the practical steps we are taking to make this a reality. We are inviting you and your organisation to join us in shaping the shipping industry of the future.

Global sustainable development guru, Sir Jonathon Porritt, will talk about how sustainability will shape businesses of the future, why the Sustainable Shipping Initiative is needed now and what companies can do to ensure success.

We will also hear from Kim Kyung Soo, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of IMC Industrial Group and Tim Blackburn, Managing Director of The China Navigation Co group of companies. They will talk about what the SSI Vision and collaborative group mean to them.

This is an excellent platform to meet and network with a number of the SSI members, you can find out who they are here.
